Held annually the Sunday prior to Arts Advocacy Days, the Third Annual Emerging Arts Leaders Symposium features of full day of professional development for emerging arts professionals including:
- A choice between two different Career Development Panels;
- An organized Networking Lunch;
- A powerhouse panel of local and national perspectives on Cultural Policy; and
- A Management Best Practices Session that attacks the ambiguous statement “non-profits need to be like for profits.”
Held in the Katzen Arts Center on American University’s campus, check-in starts at 11 AM and sessions conclude by 5pm for the keynote speaker and reception.
The keynote and reception are open to the public and begin at 5pm. The keynote and reception and are co-sponsored by American University’s Arts Management Program, Americans for the Arts’ Emerging Leaders Council, and Emerging Arts Leaders DC.
